North Carolina is at the leading edge of State Electric Supply Company’s expansion to the Southeast. Tim Cosolito, NC Area Sales Manager, says adhering to the motto, “Service Makes State” has led to exponential market share growth.

Western NC includes Charlotte, the largest metropolis in the State Electric footprint of 44 stores. A renewed interest in greater Charlotte has paid dividends. Cosolito says State Electric’s contractor business is increasing throughout the market and that’s due, in part, to selective distribution. State Electric seeks out partners in the market who see value in service. “Our partners are excellent at what they do, we simply ask us them to trust us for logistical support so they can use their resources more effectively,” Tim says. Although it may take a little longer to grow business through relationships, the win/win partnerships are built to last as both parties reap the benefits.

A training being held next month is a great illustration of the training opportunities that State Electric regularly offers its customers. In August, we are conducting a firestop training with our 3M specialist, Corey Lawhun, for 35 electricians.Corey and a 3M rep will conduct the training, which will conveniently be held at the customer’s office. After completing this free course, attendees will be awarded a two-year firestop certification through 3M. This certification allows the customer to work on firestop jobs that are subject to inspection.

Our Jobsite Solutions trailer is another offering that’s setting State Electric apart in the North Carolina region. Our team of commodity specialists are trained to educate our customers about the many labor savings tools and services we can provide. The Jobsite Solutions trailer allows us to put our money where our mouth is by demonstrating these techniques on site. The customer chooses the opportunity and we bring the savings to them by offering job site training and real job demonstrations. Whether it’s pulling heads, cutting tools, wire pullers, or other value add services, we will save customers’ labor and we prove it every day.
